April 30, 2019 Text visit with Brittany. She said she'd had a good day, busy meeting everyone in the office and making some headway on a new project. She said, "I love my Monday's because I know my Grannie is going to text me."  Had a little text visit with Faith.

April 29, 2019 Yesterday, at Goodtimes, we took a break in our card game for Faith and Michael to make the brownies. Noah and I were standing at the end of the kitchen table, talking, when he just put his arm around me for a hug.  Kennedy came and I got some hugs.  Faith said Daniel had wanted to skip Goodtimes to go out in the boat with his girlfriend to celebrate their 6 month anniversary, and she had stressed to him the importance of going to see his grandparents.  Got to see Kim and John when they brought Noah. As they were leaving John said, "So you told all those kids that you had a car full of stuff and no one is helping you?" And then he called Noah and they got the groceries in while Kim kept Holly from escaping. Skyler had planned to come but she got a bad sunburn on Saturday. She was here on Saturday with four of her friends so they could swim, so we did get to see her.  I got a text from Angela this morning. Amber put an article about manatees on m

April 26, 2019 Enjoyed my walk with Bertice yesterday. Heard from Lori this morning. Got some of my stitches out yesterday.  Heard from Tori. She said it had been an eventful day and that she and Josh were headed to a movie. Heard from Kennedy. She will be here Sunday, but has been very busy in the print lab. I've lost track of days, but I'm still happy about getting to have a nice phone visit with Beth. Just the sound of her voice telling me about her day.  Did I tell you that Amber was accepted into an online college to continue her sports medicine?  Chelsea posted a picture of Jaden sleeping in his big boy bed.

She said that Brittany was able to choose the office she'll use when they move to the 12 th floor and she got a window and she's been to their website and ordered some of their logo things. Heard from Skyler. She said the ACT was tiring. Got a text from Angela.

April 24, 2019 Yesterday morning I got a video text from Andrew. He was on a hike, and walking a trail flanked by fields of tall stalked, yellow flowers, as far as the eye could see. He was determined to get to the top of the mountain --- and when he got to the bottom, he saw a sign about mountain lions in the area. It was a fun visit.  Brittany flies out Sunday for her first work trip!  Davis is crawling!!! Talked to Beverly for a few minutes, and to Beth for a few minutes. Chris and Tyler and Wylder were over in the evening for a few minutes, to pick up a package. 

April 23, 2019 It is a beautiful day. It was a little chilly this morning but has warmed up nicely. I didn't sleep well last night, and so slept late this morning. It will make getting everything done a little dicey, but I think I'll be all right. The thing I did yesterday was to prioritize my walk. So, I got to the office later than I intended. More like 1:30. But I spent a little over an hour on the Melton Center. I didn't accomplish too much --- typed up notes from our advisory board meeting and rearranged what I have reviewed for our fundraising committee meeting.  Beverly had a successful interview yesterday for the job she wanted a Planned Parenthood.  Heard from Brittany --- she said she had a happy Easter. Amber sent me a text --- "Just got a great call at work. ...Accepted into an accelerated Exercise Bachelor's Degree program online through Franklin University. Accelerated means I will finish faster than the normal and be eligible for a combined

April 22, 2019 Well, it has been an eventful few days, and I'm not sure my thoughts are all that organized about it.  The day is sunny and clear and beautiful. It was a little chilly this morning, but has warmed up enough that it is going to be really pretty for my walk.  Beverly has an interview this morning that she is anxious about, as she would really love the job, but the good news is that she has the interview.  Kennedy has two big projects due today, so we didn't get to see her this weekend, but we did get a text.  Andrew and Annette called Saturday to check on me, and when I said they could come to Firefly to see us Sunday, I could hear Skyler in the background saying, "Yes!" Andrew came out to check on me Thursday morning before he went to work, and Annette came out Thursday afternoon. Said she just wanted to see me herself. She came with goodies --- poppy seed chicken, and chicken salad and pimento cheese and cookies and cheese cake.  Beverly

We had our Easter Hunt Second Sunday Supper and had a good time. Annette pulled everything together for me, and I got Moe's Southwest to cater, so  Evan offered to help clean up. Kennedy and Papa spent most of the day working on the project for Frank Ledbetter. Got a text from Andrew. Annette said he will be home today, I think, and will be here till next Tuesday. Then he'll be gone for a couple of weeks and back for Brittany's graduation.  Barry and Kennedy and I went to Firefly and Kennedy helped me move some logs for my Coastal Engineering experiment.  Took my first ride with Skyler --- from the back of the property to the house. ;-) She was helping Annette hide the presents. Skyler wanted to hide one of the presents in the high crook of a tree, but Annette told her, "no." Skyler said, "Dad would let me." When I laughed, she said, "You know he would."  I had asked her which of her prom pictures she liked the best, but hadn't

Kennedy received three grants! Brittany said she got to go shopping this past weekend for clothes for her new job.  Heard from Andrew. He is in California. Annette is working on Easter for me. Heard from Angela. She said that Tori has the flu, but has some medicine now. Got to see Tyler yesterday when I took him to his class. 

The red amaryllis just outside my writing shack window are in full bloom, always reminding me of Tori's graduation.  The tennis tournaments have been rained out so far, but all of the inconvenienced players were gracious and appreciative of the work done to put the tournament on.  Morgan and Brandon and Davis came over yesterday, so I got to hold him and get some of his smiles, and got to visit with Morgan. We went to Firefly. Kennedy came over Saturday night, and she and Barry got a lot done on the project they're doing for Frank, and she went to Firefly with us.  The tennis tournament took everything last week, so I didn't send any postcards, or hear too much from anyone.
