November 25, 2019

The wifi is giving me a hard time this morning, and I hope that isn't going to be an all-morning thing. So frustrating.

Barry and I drove down to Firefly yesterday afternoon. I think he wanted to show me what was going on with his oyster baskets. We took our lists and planners and spent a few minutes at the kitchen table working with them. It wasn't quite enough for me, and i had to get back up in the middle of the night to finish it, but it was a pleasant time.

We had Second Sunday Supper on Saturday so that it would be easier for Tori to be here. It turned out that, at least on this particular Saturday night, it also meant that the older grandbabies could stay and finish their game of Nines. And so, with the house mostly empty except that table full, they gathered up in the dining room and played and talked and laughed. It was like an impromptu Goodtimes, and I loved it. Barry was talking about it the next day.

We got to meet Logan, Angela's friend. Andrew, Annette and Chris were the only big kids here, and the younger grandbabies had claimed the square table by the time the older grandbabies had their plates, so Angela and Logan, Tori, Kennedy, Brittany and Jon Marc sat at the kitchen table with us.

Brittany had posted about her first field day, and so I asked about it. They had to get off the boat and walk close to the shore, which was lined with cyprus stumps. The water was about four feet deep and the tide came in some while they were out, and she fell and cut her hand and since she is 5'1'' the walk back to the boat was kind of interesting.

We got to visit with Andrew and Annette, chatting about his work, etc. They came back out on Sunday to work on a project for Annette's events and I got to visit with her.

Tori came over Saturday morning, and she and I got to just hang out and visit.

Ashlyn sent me a friend request.

Daniel led the blessing and Karly led the birthday song.

Faith didn't stay for Second Sunday Supper, but she came by early so she could visit a little.

Skyler took the pictures for me.
