Second Sunday Supper was a lot of fun, and this morning is going well.

Heard from Andrew --- text --- really busy at work.

Brittany called me in to the bedroom for a minute and Jon Marc jumped  up from the dining room table and said, "Wait a minute!" Brittany handed me a gift bag, saying "We went into a gift shop, and I saw this first thing, and said, 'I have to have this for Grannie." A turtle-shaped coffee cup that says "I turtilly love you!" So sweet.

She called me the other day --- said she'd started to send a text but then thought, "I haven't talked to Grannie for a while. I just want to hear her voice."

Skyler drove herself to school for the first time today, in her new car. Annette talked about taking Skyler with her to get the oil changed, and letting her be the one to have the conversation with the people there. They've opened a checking account for her, too.

Angela and Tori and Kennedy helped clean up and afterwards when we were sitting at the table, they called Beverly and JA and put them on speaker phone, so we got to have a visit.

Beth flew in Friday and we went and got Davis from daycare. I asked to hold him before we put him in his car seat and when he smiled at me like he recognized me ---- well, that's what I thought about when I crawled into bed that night.

Morgan came when she got off work and we got to laugh and talk and visit for a bit before she and Beth went across the bay.

Beth got to take Davis to his first beach outing.

Zak and Vivian made it back safely.

We saw Chris and Wylder on Saturday because Tyler came over to work. Wylder smiled at us and gave us hugs.

Shawn is here working today, but I haven't seen him yet.

Faith and Michael and Daniel all came. Faith had thought she'd be working but that was a different weekend.

Jaden giving me kisses.

Rodney posted for us in the Joy Journal group.

John and Kim's marriage announcement:

It happened like this:
"Is Christina getting married?"
,
"I don't know. We asked that, didn't we? They're engaged."
And John and Kim started to laugh, and I thought it was about long engagements, which it may have been, but when I said something about them being engaged, they said, "We got married," and some of us were surprised. Happy, happy, happy --- and surprised.
It seems that a little over a year ago, John mentioned that they might make it legal after Kim went part time, and I missed that bit of conversation.
Although I've always felt sure of their love for and commitment to each other, there's something about this discovery that feels very happy.
So, in case you didn't know ---- John and Kim got married! Congratulations, you two. I love you both!
