January 22, 2019

 I made Zak some chocolate chip cookies for his first day at his new job, mostly because it makes him so happy when I make them, and it felt like a fun way to celebrate. Vivian was working, but he came over to get them and then stayed to have supper with Papa and Kennedy and I. Papa had cooked Bubbles and Squeak, and had made mixed bean concoction with the leftovers from our Moe's Southwest supper. 

 Zak's new job is on Halls Mill Road, and is a place where they manufacture / assemble the monitoring equipment that he learned how to work with when he was getting his degree. This experience will let him know the equipment inside out. He seemed really happy and confident as he was telling us about it. He asked Papa about his oysters and asked Kennedy what was going on with her, and then the two of them went out to the shop so she could show him the nerf gun setup.

Got a text from Vivian --- she'd gotten my thank you note, which she referred to as a love letter. ;-) 

 Heard back from Brittany.

 Tori and Angela sent us hugs, via Kennedy, who was here with us from Friday night until this morning. She and Papa have just had the best time.

Beth sent us some flowers.

March 27, 2019 I have delivered our Wyatt personal tax paperwork to Taylor's office.  Walked with Bertice.  Did a little writing that I found fulfilling. Got a text from Kennedy --- she said she has some good news. Heard from Morgan. She is going to be off on Fridays from now on and is going to come volunteer with me on Friday.  Noah's team won yesterday.  Evan and Chelsea and Jaden and James came over last night. James gave big smiles and is holding his head up strongly. Jaden just enjoyed running around in the back yard, throwing the ball. He loves jumping down from the fireplace and looking at each one of us to make sure that we are each clapping. At one point, he came and got each one of us by the hand and took us back to the family room so that we could play the game again.  Evan starts as Assistant Manager next week.

June 27, 2019 Amber sent me a text to let me know she received her birthday cards. She said, "Thank you so much for my bday cards. It made my day getting them, especially the one from second Sunday. I have been homesick since I can't be home for my birthday. I love you, Grannie!"  Heard from Andrew and Skyler and Tori and Kennedy. Tori and Josh were getting ready to play an online game with Josh's brother. Kennedy said they had a little hiccup in their presentation, but that they got through it.

July 8, 2019 Morgan's post on Facebook How is our tiny perfect human 9 months old already? 19.8 lbs of thick thighs n big blue eyes. Davis is so much more than we ever could’ve dreamed up. He’s spunky and hilarious, feisty and persistent. He amazes me every single day. This month he slept through the night for the first time  🙌🏽 We’re up to 6 teeth and the cutest toothy smile ever. Baby shark do do do do do do. He’s standing up on his own and I swear will be taking off walking soon. He loves pushing his truck around and walking behind it. This wild child is into every thing and could sit in his swing under the house for hours if I’d let him. He started swim lessons and is learning how to float like a big boy on his back. He said his first words, bye bye bye bye bye, and brought big ol elephant tears into this mamas eyes.
